How to Find the Correct Globe Measurements

Anyone standing before a broken snow globe and wishing to repair it often doesn't know how to find the right replacement. The measurements for replacement globes are usually listed as the diameter of the sphere—but that sphere is currently lying there in pieces.

Pro-Tip: The decisive factor is the base measurement.

First, very carefully pry the rubber stopper out of the broken glass fragments and measure it. In our shop, all replacement glasses include the measurements of the globe base alongside the sphere diameter. Compare your measurements here.

If the measurement does not fit exactly, you must detach the inner model from the old stopper and glue it onto the new stopper. Otherwise, the glass will not be airtight.

Important: Always press the rubber stopper completely into the glass globe. The two grooves must lock together perfectly.
